14 Years of CurlyRed!
Published: February 1, 2021
14 years ago, I began CurlyRed, and I continue to feel absurdly blessed to own my own business, doing something that I love while providing for our family.
I thought (since we can't do an in-person shindig) it would be nice to commemorate the day by honoring 14 people who have helped me get to where I am today. So I dedicate this anniversary to the following:
Azi Rosenblum: Long time friend and business colleague. Without his company RemSource, CurlyRed would be way less efficient and professional. Azi, thanks for coming to see my Oakland office and for your support and friendship.
Carly Amato: My amazing sister, who's always told me she's proud of me and can't understand how I do what I do (the feeling is mutual!).
Rebecca Teaff: My fellow redheaded creative CEO, who's never steered me wrong and always gives great advice.
Andrew Rose: One of my very first clients, and the Baltimore king of connections. Thank you for always believing in me.
Rob Bennett: One of my favorite design teachers at Towson University and has always been so generous with his praise and encouragement.
Illiah Manger: I feel like I've always known you and that makes me so happy. Thanks for sharing the load of figuring out the work-life-family balance.
Jenny Romanelli: I'll forever be grateful for your mentorship at Polk Audio. Thank you for showing me what it means to be a strong, caring, creative female leader.
John Amato V: My brave, selfless brother who has always loved me and supported me fiercely.
Susan Katz: Your coaching (even all these years later) had such a positive impact on me. You're a treasure.
Jessica Watson: What can I say about your friendship? You inspire me, encourage me, constantly impress me. I'm so thankful I get the chance to work and play with you.
John Amato: My awesome Dad. You've supported me always, and welcome us with open arms anytime we need to crash during a Baltimore visit. What more could I ask for?
Joe and Amy Miller: My toast family...just—there are no words. They say you shouldn't make your friends your clients, but you somehow rock at being both. I love you.
Madeline Meister: Moo, so much of what I am is because of who you are. God couldn't have given me a better mom.
Mark Ludwig: Last but certainly not least. I am blessed beyond measure to have you as my partner in life, love, business, pleasure, raising our family. I could go on and on. I love you, Vice Presidente. I hope you love your job because you're never allowed to leave.
_______________
To all of my wonderful friends and family not mentioned above: I hope you know how grateful I am for each of you and all of the ways you've supported CurlyRed. Here's to the next 14 years!
