Pint for a Pint!

Published: August 28, 2019

At CurlyRed, we love helping new businesses come to life! And we've been hard at hard helping Pat and Michelle Hudnall with the branding, print and web design for a brand-new storefront in downtown Oakland, called The Vagabond Taproom:

Vagabond is about the outdoors, the travel, the journeys. Pat and Michelle are outdoor and biking enthusiasts, so we  created branding for them that reflects their love of nature. Designed in a beautiful two-toned teal palette, the vintage-inspired typeface is reminiscent of a simpler time that gave inspiration to the name “The Vagabond Taproom.” Between 1915 and 1924, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Harvey Firestone, and John Burroughs, calling themselves the Four Vagabonds, embarked on a series of summer camping trips, including Garrett County, MD.

Vagabond will feature regional beer on draft, wine, non-alcoholic offerings and a light food menu. It's set to be up and running by sometime this fall (perhaps even by the famous Autumn Glory Festival)! And to help spread the word about this new establishment, Pat and Michelle have rolled out a "pint for a pint" program:

We want to know where you’ve been! Bring in a new destination pint glass and receive your first drink on us! There are several participating businesses in downtown Oakland where you can drop off your glass and receive a token.

Drop off locations for the pint glasses are as follows: CurlyRed/Craeve & Co. (our Alder St. office!), Flipside Sounds, The Book Mark'et and The Cornish Cafe, all in downtown Oakland, MD.

Please stop by during normal office hours to learn more! And you should totally start following Vagabond on Facebook and Instagram, like today 🙂
