Every February at CurlyRed, we donate 10% of our proceeds to two worthy nonprofits!
This year our Garrett County recipient is Stephen's Table and our "beyond" recipient is The Embassy Theatre in Cumberland, MD. You can read more about these fantastic non-profits below.
Stephen's Table is a ministry of The Episcopal Church in Garrett County. It's a free meal provided the next to the last Thursday of each month at St. Matthew’s in Oakland, MD. All are welcome, and these meals provide wonderful nourishment and fellowship to folks throughout Garrett County, even providing free transportation to and from the meal. This donation will be helping feed more people in our area!
The Embassy Theatre is the premiere entertainment venue on the downtown Cumberland, MD mall. Due to the current Reimagine Cumberland project/construction, attendance to performances have been lower than normal. As a nonprofit organization devoted to maintaining this grand old place in historic downtown Cumberland, this donation will be used to assist with expenses related to the performance arts we offer throughout the season, as well as for the daily expenses such as electricity, water, gas, internet, telephone and maintenance.
