Featured Clients: Nauti Taco | Allegany National Photography Competition & Exhibition

At CurlyRed, recently we have been busy bees!  On top of serving our retainer clients, and taking on new branding and print projects, we launched 4 new websites last month (might be a record for us?) including these two:

Allegany National Photography Competition & Exhibition (ANPCE)

The ANPCE was established in 2015 as a way to showcase the talent and artistry of a growing group of photographers and enthusiasts in our region. The popularity of the show attracted talent from across Maryland and its surrounding areas, and eventually, the show was made available to a national audience.

Now in its sixth year, the ANPCE has continued to grow, both with artists who enter the show and those who come to view it year after year. In 2020, the show received more than 800 entries, representing photographers from all corners of the U.S., and the show draws an increasingly diverse array of talent.

This year's competition and exhibition features more than 70 photographs in three categories: monochrome (black and white), color, and photography as sculpture, a new category in 2020 which seeks to push the boundaries of what is considered traditional photography practice. The goal of the show is to offer a diverse and wide-ranging look at the world of photography, including street photography, portraiture, landscape and still life, fine art and many other styles and techniques.

This website will eventually be a part of the newly renovated Allegany Arts Council website (coming very soon!).

Nauti Taco

This project is for a brand new restaurant for long-time client Karen Hineman (we designed and developed the websites for her other two businesses: Slippery Mermaid and Twin Tails Event Farm). Located in Sewickley, PA, Nauti Taco takes a fun twist on the art of the taco! With a dozen variations to choose from, we're sure we'll need to make multiple visits to try them all.

We loved creating this site: the bold color palette, vibrant photography and fun doodle art was the perfect CurlyRed project. We know Nauti Taco will be just as popular as Ms. Hineman's other endeavors.
