May 2022: Let's Learn.

Published: May 4, 2022

Good morning and May the 4th be with you!

Silly memes aside, this year has been a strange one so far. As infection rates decrease, things in Garrett County are opening back up and our schedules are getting much busier.

While it's wonderful to be out and about, reconnecting in person with friends and family members, attending events that haven't happened since 2019, it's also forcing us to take a closer look at how we spend our time and examine the things to which we give our energy.

The pandemic has given many of us a unique opportunity to evaluate how our lives before were serving us. Many people changed jobs, locations, etc, as a result of those honest evaluations.

This month, I encourage you to examine what we've learned thus far from the pandemic, and remember the importance of setting boundaries,  and resist the impulse to overcommit or overextend ourselves (which is so incredibly difficult for us people pleasers!).

It's so incredibly important to prioritize the things that keep us spiritually, physically and mentally well so we can be our best selves for those around us. This also creates space to determine the best way to use your time and talents to bring goodness into the world.

So despite the hardships of the past 2+ years, let's grow from the lessons we've learned and strive to become healthier, more whole versions of ourselves.
