This Weekend in Oakland, MD: The 39 Steps and Winter Fest!
Do you have weekend plans? If not, get excited—there are several local events happening that promise to drive anyone's “February blahs” away. And not one of them requires a Valentine (thank goodness, the only good thing about that Hallmark holiday is the chocolate, are we right?).
The 39 Steps at Our Town Theatre
Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you have The 39 Steps, a fast-paced whodunit for anyone who loves the magic of theatre (plus, CurlyRed Vice President Mark Ludwig is one of the stars!)
This two-time Tony® and Drama Desk Award-winning treat is packed with nonstop laughs, over 150 zany characters (played by a ridiculously talented cast of four), an onstage plane crash, handcuffs, missing fingers, and some good old-fashioned romance!

Winter Fest in Downtown Oakland (featuring the 2nd Annual Wine Walk!)
This annual event is happening THIS SATURDAY all over downtown Oakland! It features live ice carvings, sculptures, kids’ activities, store specials, carriage rides, live music & more!
CurlyRed president and principal designer M. Kendall Ludwig will be volunteering at The Gallery Shop with the Garrett County Arts Council from 10-4, please come say hi.
ALSO: Join us for our 2nd annual Wine Walk from 11am-4pm on Saturday, Feb 15th. Buy a ticket online or behind the gazebo the day of the event. For $15 you can sample up to 12 different types of wine around downtown Oakland! We recommend that you buy your tickets online to reserve your space, this event will sell out!
