Upcoming events in Oakland: Pocket Park movies & Little Yough Music Festival!

Summertime in Oakland, MD means beautiful weather, taking advantage of all the incredible local state parks, and fun, family-friendly events!

Mark and Kendall of CurlyRed have been working with the Greater Oakland Business Association to promote these great events through some fun posters and Facebook graphics.

One takes place every Thursday night (including tonight): Pocket Park movies! The downtown Farmers' Market transforms into an outside theatre, where you can bring your own chairs and blankets to watch outdoor movies with the whole family (and treat yourself to some yummy Devler's ice cream while you're at it)!

The Little Yough Music Festival begins on July 13th and brings free, live outdoor music to downtown Oakland (once again to the Mountain Fresh Pavilion). The music varies from bluegrass to rock to jazz—there's something for everyone!
