We turn Sweet Sixteen today!

CurlyRed turns Sweet Sixteen today, wooohooo!

Over breakfast, I was reminiscing about some of the harder things I've faced in the past 16 years.

Like in 2008, when the recession hit and I lost the few clients I had and had to start all over again.

Like in 2009, when a former client threatened to sue me and I had my first ever panic attack.

Like in 2012, when I was at an in-person coaching workshop and (horrifyingly) burst into tears when I realized that between having a toddler and newborn and running a business, I had let important things fall through the cracks.

Like in 2016, when we moved to a brand new place and had no idea what it would mean for my business.

Like in 2020, when the whole world shut down and CurlyRed applied for PPP funding so we could still pay our bills.
I could go on and on.

I write all this not to be a downer. I'm actually pretty damn proud that I've been able to overcome so many obstacles to get here.
I write this to those of you that are reading and trying to start or create something new, and you're feeling discouraged. To you, dear friend—you're not alone.

I'm happy to meet with you (either in-person or virtually), hear about what you're facing, and help if I can. We can do hard things, and I thank God for giving me this hard (but very rewarding) thing to do.

Hope to celebrate with lots of you at 6:30 tonight at The Vagabond Taproom 🥳🎂🥰
