CurlyRed is looking forward to celebrating all things winter in “the Frozen Tundra of Maryland”. The event will take place in downtown Oakland on Feb, 18th from 10am-4pm. The event will include the immensely popular Wine Walk, kids activities, live music & performances, food and drink specials, Facebook Live with giveaways (for additional online engagement) store specials and more!
The Wine Walk will begin at 11 a.m., and tickets will be sold at the gazebo in Oakland on the day of the event. They can also be bought online in advance by going to http://www.oaklandmd.com/winter-fest.html The $20 ticket will provide the holder to taste 12 different wines, which will be available at a number of locations throughout the town. The 6 wine tasting locations are at the Oakland B&O Museum, The Gallery Shop, Tomanetti’s Pizzeria & Italian Eatery, The Vagabond Taproom, Stephanie’s Sweet Shop, and Smoke N Mirrors Photography. Maps will be provided at registration.
Although, this year’s event will not feature the popular ice sculptures, the events team is working on numerous family activities to keep everyone entertained, including local artists, kids crafts and activities, a face painting station, a bounce house and obstacle course, a fire dancer, a s’more station provided by a local girl scout troop, a race up Alder Street on sleds.
